Membership Guide

Membership:

The Dearborn Heights Ski & Snowboard Club is for skiers and boarders in grades 6-12. It provides members many services, including lessons, Skiing/Boarding with other members, and participation in any or all of the trips at a reduced rate.

Membership Fee:

$8.00 for Dearborn Heights Residents, $12.00 for Non Residents. THIS FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

Deadline for Membership:

Submit applications to the Dearborn Heights Parks & Recreation Department by December 19, 2007. A late registration fee of $2.00 will be added to applications received after that date.

Trip Fees:

The cost of each trip will be $34.00 per skier, $41.00 per snowboarder. This includes lift ticket, lesson ticket, proficiency patches and transportation. A $14.00 rental equipment package is available, which includes: skis, poles, and boots. A snowboard and boot rental package is available also for $18.00.

Cancellations:

Cancellations are made by calling the Dearborn Heights Parks & Recreation Office before noon Thursday prior to the Friday night ski trip. A new permission slip must be filled out with the make-up date and returned by Wednesday noon prior to the make-up ski trip. If it is a late cancellation or no-show a $10.00 bus charge will be assessed.

Supervision:

Club members will be supervised each trip by our adult sponsors. This includes the bus ride to and from the ski area, in the ski lodge, at the area, and on the ski hill. Students with questions or problems during a trip can find assistance at the Dearborn Heights Ski/Board table in the lodge.
